Manufacturing software that fits the way your plant runs

Production tracking, job cards, quality, maintenance and traceability for small and mid-sized UK manufacturers. Built around your ERP, your machines and the people on the floor.

The gap

Your ERP knows the plan. The shop floor knows what happened.

Most manufacturers already have an ERP or MRP system that is good at orders, stock and invoicing. What it rarely does well is the detail of the day on the shop floor: which job is on which machine, why line 2 stopped at ten past three, what was scrapped and why.

That gap gets filled with whiteboards, paper travellers and spreadsheets. They work, until the business grows, a customer asks for traceability, or someone needs an answer before the end of the week.

We build the software that fills that gap properly, connected to the systems you already have, and simple enough that the people doing the work actually want to use it.

Typical projects

What manufacturers ask us to build.

Start with the one that costs you most. Each can grow into the next.

  1. Production tracking

Whiteboards and end-of-shift spreadsheets replaced with tablets at each line recording output, stoppages and reasons as they happen.

  2. Works orders and job cards

Paper job cards replaced by a system that pulls orders from the ERP, tracks each operation and books completions back.

  3. Quality and non-conformance

Inspections, NCRs and corrective actions logged with photos, routed for approval and reported by customer, part and cause.

  4. Maintenance requests

Breakdown requests raised from the shop floor, planned maintenance scheduled, and history kept against each asset.

  5. Quoting

A quote builder that applies your pricing rules, material costs and margins consistently, and tracks every quote to a result.

  6. Traceability

Batch and material traceability with barcode or QR scanning at goods-in, production and dispatch.

  7. Line-side call buttons

Wireless buttons at each line for line-down or assistance calls, showing on a screen and logged so response times can be measured.

  8. Asset registers

A detailed fixed-asset register with QR labels on equipment, linked to maintenance history and capital spend.

Ready-made modules

Some of this already exists, ready to use.

Shop-floor checks, actions, maintenance, quality issues and OEE are available as modules of the Woerka platform: one account for your factory, starting with the module you need most. We build custom software for the rest, and where your process doesn't fit a module.

  • Checks: Start-up, safety and 5S checks on a phone, from a QR code on the machine.
  • Actions: One to-do list for the factory, wherever the work came from.
  • Maintenance: Breakdown reports, jobs, planned maintenance and each machine's repair history.
  • Quality: NCRs, defects, complaints and supplier issues, from containment to sign-off.
  • OEE: Availability, performance and quality per machine and shift, with the reasons for downtime.

Designed for the floor

If operators won't use it, it doesn't work.

  1. Big targets

Screens built for gloves, tablets and a quick glance, not for a desk.

  2. Scan, don't type

Barcodes, QR codes and pick lists instead of free text wherever possible.

  3. Runs on your network

Hosted on a server at your site if you prefer, so a broadband outage doesn't stop production.

  4. Your words

Your part numbers, stop reasons, shift names and paperwork, not a vendor's.

Where to start

Pick the size of the first step.

Many manufacturers start with a Quick Woerka pilot on one line or one process, then build out once it's proven.

  • Process review on site
  • One focused browser-based tool
  • Import of your existing data
  • Training for the people who use it
  • 30 days of fixes after launch

Monthlyagreed per system, cancel any time

Typical: Ongoing

Any system we have built for you, or one you already rely on and need looking after.

  • Hosting on your server or ours
  • Backups, updates and security patches
  • Monitoring and fault response
  • Small changes each month
  • A named person to call

e.g. Hosting and backups, Monthly improvements, Support for a system built by someone else

Questions

Manufacturers usually ask.

What size of manufacturer do you work with?

Mostly small and mid-sized manufacturers, from single-site job shops to multi-line plants with a few hundred people. The common thread is a process that has outgrown spreadsheets and paper.

Do we need to replace our ERP?

Almost never. We build around your ERP, reading and writing the data it holds, and fill the gaps it leaves on the shop floor.

Will operators actually use it?

They will if it saves them effort. We design with the people on the floor: big buttons, few screens, and nothing typed that could be scanned or picked from a list.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Systems can run entirely on your own network, on a server at your site.

Show us the spreadsheet. We'll show you the system.

A no-obligation conversation, on site or on a call. You'll come away with a clear view of what's worth fixing, what it would cost, and whether software is the right answer at all.
